Family of Six Finds Comfort and Fun at 'The Courts at Tapestry'

Busy parents of four children, including one who happens to be our very own Little Miss Nevada, Nancy and Victor Legaspina find solace and satisfaction in their home at The Courts at Tapestry.

Nancy and Victor, 35 and 38 respectively, share their
ASTORIA home with Jonathan, 11, Caleb, 5, nine month old Nathan, and Vina, 3, who has been selected to represent Nevada at the 2006 Miss American Princess Pageant this November in Orlando. In addition to winning the title of Miss Nevada in the Princess division of the Las Vegas Nevada American Coed Pageant, for which she earned a $1000 cash scholarship, Vina has also won several other pageant competitions and placed first runner-up in various others.

Originally from the Philippine island of Cebu, Nancy, a registered nurse, and Victor, who is studying to be a licensed practical nurse, now call Northwest Las Vegas their home. They appreciate the benefits of the rapid growth in this developing area of town.

“The elementary school, which is walking distance from our house, just opened last August,” said Nancy, who likes to scrapbook in her spare time. “And we can’t wait to see the Great Mall of Las Vegas.”

As well as enjoying the benefits of the Northwest, the Legaspina family also takes pleasure in living in The Courts at Tapestry. Nancy and Victor find their well-landscaped front yard appealing while the children enjoy the many community parks, with playgrounds, pools and basketball courts for them to play in.

Nancy and Victor chose Model 760, with four bedrooms, and 2.5 baths because they felt the selection and the layout of the rooms best accommodated their family.

“I like the flex room downstairs that we turned into a playroom for the kids,” said Nancy. “I also like the walk-in closet and the jetted bath tub, and I especially like the den that we turned into an office where I spend most of my time when the kids are in school.”

In addition to feeling that their home was an affordable investment, the Legaspina family also feels that the ENERGY STAR Program was a big selling point in purchasing their ASTORIA home.
“It’s an excellent program,” Nancy said of the ENERGY STAR Program.
